Titan Construction was the general contractor on this newly renovated and remodeled hospital that would serve the community with immediate medial attention. The facility was completed in 1994. The facility included general examination rooms, minor surgical procedures and administrative offices. The added space to the facility included areas of surgery, lab, x-ray, emergency room, clinic space, pharmacy, and lobby areas. |
The Nursing Center accommodates 120 older adults under long-term care and consists of four wings which wrap around the exterior courtyard. The Center has a commercial kitchen which supplies meals to the residents, as well as for the Meals-on-Wheels program. The balance of the building accommodates the Public Health Clinic and offices associated with public immunization, medical counseling and health education. |
This medical facility includes multiple exam rooms, doctor offices, nurse’s stations, lab, x-ray department, in-house accounting and scheduling and comfortable lobby for waiting clients. One of the features of this facility is the “well-child” / “ill-child” area. These areas are separate from the main waiting area and serves as a way to isolate the ill child during interactive play while waiting. The play areas are equipped with multiple hard surface play structures which allows for quick and easy sanitation. |

Designed for 1200 students, this new magnet high school for the fine and performing arts is built on the site where the original Paseo High School stood. The new Paseo includes many specialized spaces including large dance studios, a ceramics lab, a painting lab along with other art rooms, two large instrumental rooms (band and orchestra), vocal music studios as well as six private practice rooms. Other specialized spaces include science labs and prep areas, a health center with a lab, a gymnasium, learning resource center, an administrative wing, and classrooms. The four-story building was especially challenging due to complex program requirement compounded by a very tightly sloping urban site. Titan constructed this new high school facility with a connecting link to the Middle School. Of particular interest was the gymnasium -- it was built on the second floor. It was critical that the floor in the gym be an FF50 (or super-flat). This challenge was met by
specially designed floor joists and the commitment to
quality on the part of all team members.
Completed in 1992, this renovation and addition project
totaled over 148,000 square feet. One of the special
features was to have an updated, modern library/media center. |
This new two-story will have over 48,000 square feet and will serve as the resource library for genealogy research for the Mid Continent Public Library. Located in Independence, Missouri, this new facility will serve as a regional document storage place for genealogy records. The current Genealogy Library is attached to the North Independence Library and has a total of 12,000 square feet. This new facility will be more than four-times the current facility in size. The current facility is the second largest tourist attraction in Independence. One of the largest construction components of any project is the HVAC system. The Genealogy Library includes a Dual Airway “AirFixture” System which will run at 20% reduction in noise, be more efficient generating an operating cost savings and has a more efficient zone control system to better stabilize the temperature to be more consistent in the entire facility. |
